USES: Mahogany wood is a high-end hardwood used in custom furniture, architectural millwork, boat building and in musical instruments such as guitars.
ORIGINS: South America, primarily Brazil and Bolivia.
BOTANICAL NAME: "Swietenia macrophylla".
COMMON NAMES: Genuine Mahogany, South American Mahogany, Honduran Mahogany
COLOR DETAILS: Mahogany hardwood darkens to a consistent dark red-brown color with exposure to sunlight.
SPECIAL PROPERTIES: Mahogany can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Please forgive the lengthy delay in responding to the mahogany delivery. I’m very pleased with the wood and can’t wait to get to using it. I’ve
got it stickered in a safe dry place and there were only a few pieces that had some warp to them. I don’t believe I saw a single knot in the bunch.
I don’t know if you are aware that there was one piece in the order that is 21.5” wide and 9’ long. Pretty impressive piece indeed. Only a
