Cocobolo is a dense, high-end hardwood from Central America. At 5.5 lbs per B.F. it is relatively heavy. It is used primarily in handles, turnings and as an accent wood.
Cocobolo "Dalbergia retusa" finishes beautifully, but gluing is not recommended.
Cocobolo is a "true" Rosewood.
