Uses: Bubinga Wood is used in fine Furniture, Flooring, Tabletops, Cabinetwork, Veneers Etc.

Origin: West Coast of Africa- Ivory Coast, Gabon, the Cameroons

Botanical Name: "Guibourtia spp."

Common Names: African Rosewood, Akume

Color: Wide color variation, typically heavy to red-brown heartwood with lighter red to purple veins throughout.  Dull off-white sapwood.

Weight: Approximately 5 lbs per BF - kiln dried

Workability: Works easily with hand or power tools despite being very hard and dense. Turns and finishes well.  Moderate blunting of cutters.  Pre-drilling required for nailing.
